President's Message
A warm greetings to all!!!
It is with great privilege and momentous delight to share with all of you that our beloved PAMET is an organization that expresses “unity amidst diversity”. Truly, there are various chapters each define by its distinct ethnicity, belief, viewpoint, and society, but at the end of the day, we are all together in harmony and solidarity, we are medical technologists.
This COVID-19 pandemic has measured the extent of PAMET, our sense of urgency, decisiveness, and remarkable competence, apart from cohesiveness. The rule of solidarity harbors bliss and peace in any organization and instructs the lesson of absolution.
In reality, this exceptional term called “unity” best characterizes how our organization delivers its efficient response at the onset of the community quarantine. Several developmental programs have been provided to address the global health crisis and participate continuously in all fora both local and international. Needless to say, there have been times when different opinions emerged between and among us, but we were able to overcome those challenges through dialogues coupled with readiness to accept the resolutions that would best serve the current priority.
Solidarity towards the universal recognition of the Philippine Association of Medical Technologists is achievable if we will put our best effort, open our hearts for improvement, and work together as a team. The capabilities of the medical technologists both in the practice and administrative function are the templates in designing the plan for our goal. Shared knowledge, specialized exchange, and research dissemination will all be placed in our collective endeavors to progress the aptitudes of the general membership. With all these preparations, we need your understanding and support.
At this 57th PAMET Annual Convention (Virtual), our theme is “Solidarity Towards International Recognition: PAMET Community in Unity.” Certainly, all of us will benefit in case our organization will be internationally recognized. The competencies of the Filipino medical technologists will be considered at par with the advanced countries and this will bring higher opportunities for everyone.
According to Pope Francis, “The future of humankind isn’t exclusively in the hands of politicians, great leaders, or big companies. Yes, they do hold an enormous responsibility. Consider the future is in the hands of those who recognize the other as a ‘you and themselves as part of an ‘us.’ We all need each other.”
Therefore, now is the time my fellow medical technologists to strengthen our call for unification, eliminating divisions in our organization, and uniting our society into a solid community with one goal of bringing our PAMET to the international stage, to achieve the recognition we all deserve.

Indeed, this pandemic has tested the extent of our solidarity.
