As PAMET moves towars offering affordable CPD programs, the association stepped up in collaborating with different institutions such as schools, hospitals and diagnostic companies.
For the onth of August, CPD programs focusing in Parasitology were held in two universities in Manila. On August 19, the UST Department of Medical Technology hosted the seminar-workshop on “Malaria Diagnosis: Gold Standard and Novel Technologies”. It was done through the help of Dean Lei Dacanay, Assst. Dean Frieda Hapan and the rest of the faculty members. Speakers were Dr. Manuel Barnes and Ms. Lerma Paris.
Ten days after, the second activity entitled “Training-Workshop on Routine Stool Analysis for Standardization and Quality Improvement” was successfully carried out on August 29 to September 1 at the Centro Escolar University College of Medical Technology through the assistance of Dean Charito Bermido as well as the other faculty members. The course director of the four-day activity is also Ms. Paris. It was the third time that said training-workshop was held in NCR.
In the coming month, PMAT has lined up several CPD programs for the benefit of its members.
